C.L.U.E. Clothing
We always like to highlight black entrepreneurs and black-owned brands as much as we can. We need to create a platform that can put people on to brands they may not have heard about before. Today, we found C.L.U.E. Clothing. C.L.U.E. is an acronym for Creativity Lives Under Excellence. They're a black-owned clothing line out of Brooklyn, New York.
Founded in 2013, their brand is authentic and creative. In the era where clothing lines seem to be popping up left and right, it's often hard to tell the difference between some of them. C.L.U.E. breaks the mold and manages to be unique in the design of their clothing and the branding of their clothing.
Along with an amazing clothing line, C.LU.E. also is a philanthropic company. They have a scholarship that is directed toward college students. The Creativity Scholarship Fund isn't only monetary. They also connect the recipients with mentors who will help them navigate the college experience.
C.L.U.E. is an example that you can run a profitable business, and still do good work for your community. Branding that is often built around the word "Creativity" and is colorful shows us that they are willing to think outside the box in all aspects of their business model.
