Kith x New York Knicks x Dipset

Over the past few weeks, teams have been unveiling their city edition uniforms. Of course, some have been met with disdain and others have been praised. City edition uniforms serve as a great way to show the world what the core of these teams and these cities represent. San Antonio Fiesta colors, Miami Vice, and Atlanta's MLK jerseys all accomplish that goal seamlessly.

Although the New York Knicks season isn't as hopeful as those teams, they went all out on the branding, marketing, and design of the City edition uniforms. They tapped Kith founder Ronnie Fieg for the design. As amazing as that is, that's not why this article is being written. We're writing because they were able to get a Dipset reunion for an exclusive freestyle to assist in the unveiling of these uniforms. It was great to see Cam'ron, Juelz, and Jim Jones back together. Still fly, still sharp, and witty as ever.

Of course, the first voice we hear is Cam'ron who raps "They always hate the bosses, that's why I relate to James Dolan." Juelz Santana freestyled second and let us know, "Yankee fitteds. Knicks jerseys. Ballplayers. Closet full of leathers and furs on coat hangers." Jim Jones closed the perfect cypher and spit "You can ask any New Yorker. We still walkin' the sky like Kenny the walker. I still pray for 911 like I been in a Porsche."

It doesn't get much more New York than a Dipset freestyle in Madison Square Garden. No word of any new Dipset music, but based on this freestyle, they're ready. It is great marketing, and we hope that the New York Knicks season is as good as the work being put into the branding of these new uniforms. Check out the new uniforms and the freestyle below.
